About

Brooklyn Sober is a place for people who want to live a sustainably sober lifestyle, whether they have a problem with alcohol or not. While it might be an appropriate supplement to AA for some, it does not replace the tools and resources provided by AA, and isn’t a substitution for AA.

  • No requirements to identify as an “alcoholic” or anything else.
  • Judgement-free conversations with candor while defending safety.

Substance skeptic

  • Shifting focus from personal addiction to the benefit (or lack thereof) substances bring.

Sober Curious

Ruby Warrington

Would life be better without alcohol? It’s the nagging question more and more of us are finding harder to ignore, whether we have a “problem” with alcohol or not. After all, we yoga. We green juice. We meditate. We self-care. And yet, come the end of a long work day, the start of a weekend, an awkward social situation, we drink. One glass of wine turns into two turns into a bottle. In the face of how we care for ourselves otherwise, it’s hard to avoid how alcohol really makes us feel… terrible.

The Alcohol Experiment

Annie Grace

Changing your habits can be hard without the right tools. This is especially true for alcohol because habits are, by definition, subconscious thought processes. Through her methodical research of the latest neuroscience and her own journey, Annie Grace has cracked the code on habit change by addressing the specific ways habits form. This unique and unprecedented method has now helped thousands redefine their relationship to drinking painlessly and without misery.
